ABOUT
The Dannevirke Flying Club was established in 1999 to promote flying, flight training and general aviation as an achievable, safe and enjoyable recreation for people of all ages and abilities.
The Club owns a Piper Cherokee, which is ideally suited for pilot training. There is another privately owned Cherokee in the Club Hangar which while is available for hire to members.
Dannevirke is a great place to learn to fly. The runway is long and wide, with a cross vector, and the skies are uncluttered.We are a thirty minute flight from Hastings, Feilding and Masterton, with the windfarms decorating the Tararuas a favoured scenic flight.
Club trips are arranged regularly, to the Wanaka airshow, dawn fly-ins and other events.Visitors are always welcome!
