ABOUT
We are a small flying club located at the Matamata airfield in the centre of the Waikato.
The airfield is central to Tauranga, Hamilton, Rotorua, and Auckland. It is uncontrolled, has low traffic, and our all-weather grass strip allows operations all year round.
We currently have about 40 members - half of them are GA and half are microlight pilots. Most have their own aircraft based at the airfield.
The Club owns its club rooms, a large hangar and a Zenith CH601XL aeroplane. Trial flights or full flight training in microlight or light sport aircraft can be arranged.
The Club welcomes visitors and members from all other flying clubs.
